Push Button Locking
When it comes to commercial buildings, push button locks are often more durable than their key counterparts. They resist damage from weather and wear, as they don’t have the same repetitive motions that a traditional key does. They’re also resistant to the effects of lock bumping and picking, allowing them to be more secure.
For residential customers, push button locking systems offer convenience. They eliminate the need to carry a key, and can easily be granted access (with a temporary code) to kids who forget their keys, dog sitters, repairmen, or cleaning services. Many are battery-powered, and some come with smart technology to allow homeowners to remotely control their doors.
However, with any technology, there’s always the possibility of a system malfunction or failure. For this reason, make sure you’re prepared with a backup power solution to maintain security in the event of a power outage.
This lever is designed to offer reliable security for medium to high traffic areas. It is available in ten finishes and four lever styles, making it an ideal choice for office doors, banks, retail spaces and hotel guest rooms. This lever is also easy to install and requires minimal maintenance.
Teddy tries to lure Irene back into his world by going on a radio show and threatening her after she publishes her article. She meets him at the bar and lets him drug her so he can record her recounting of the past year.
As the gang war escalates, Avi informs Franklin that the money he sent him for the guns was properly deposited. He then asks Havemeyer to check Avi’s bank account to be sure. Alton stops Leon from beating a homeless man outside the shelter and later warns him that his children will end up in foster care if he carries out his threats against Teddy.
Grade 2 ANSI/BHMA Rating
Grade 2 locks are suitable for light commercial applications such as offices, retail spaces and hotel guest rooms. They are more secure than standard knob and lever locks, but they don’t offer the same level of protection against vandalism or heavy usage. They must pass a series of performance tests to achieve this rating, including cycle, strength and security tests.
The Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) work together to develop and publish performance standards for builders hardware. These standards have cycle, strength, security and dimension requirements that products must meet before they can be certified. The grading system separates builders hardware into three grades that are defined by progressive levels of performance benchmarks in each of these standards. These standards include tests that measure the amount of forcible turning a lock can endure, and the number of cycles it can withstand before it fails. These requirements vary between the three grades.
